My daughter loves hot dogs. They are easy to prepare and lend themselves to fun shapes that can be created quickly. Lunch will never be boring again!
Here's how to make Octopus Hot Dogs.
Cut your hot dog in half and then slice an "X" into the cut ends.
Slice the four "legs" into eight. Cut a small "U" shape into the side of the hot dog to make a smile and poke two holes for eyes. I just use the tip of my knife.
Toss into a pot of boiling water. Or in my case, toss into the same pot that you are boiling pasta in! The legs will start to fan out.
Add black sesame seeds for eyes. Done!
This is a super quick meal to prepare. Peanut Butter and Jelly with no crust. *sigh* I toss my apples into a lidded plastic container with a pinch of sugar and a tablespoon of lemon juice. The lemon juice keeps the apples from turning brown, the sugar helps to cut the tartness of the lemon juice.

Rice and Cheese with Hard Boiled Quail Eggs.
Ritz Crackers stacked with pepperoni and cheese. Who needs to buy Lunchables? Grape tomatoes, black olives, quail eggs and green grapes are easy for small fingers to eat. My daughter is on a cottage cheese "kick". Since it is healthy, I don't mind one bit!
